Paint Removal

St Mary’s Bacup – 2012

A series of photographs illustrating the paint removal, restoration and re-positioning of the Baptismal Font at St Mary’s RC Church, Bacup in 2012.

Unfortunately the font had received many coats of paint over the years.

As part of the re-ordering project Reverend Father Frank Thorpe and architect Chris Langstone both agreed that the font should be returned to it’s original natural stone finish.
