Cleaning headstones is a regular part of a monumental masons job. This photo shows us cleaning a headstone that was removed from St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Moston, Manchester to have an additional name engraved on it.
Once cleaned and engraved, the headstone was be re-fixed in the cemetery to current safety standards. As with all ‘Lawn Type’ memorials we install (old or new) a National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) accredited ‘Anchor System’ will be installed in the memorial, along with new stainless steel dowels between the headstone and base.
